Abstract:
Food security has been linked to various outcomes related to health and well-being. This study investigates the relationship between food security status - measured through food availability, accessibility, price stability, and utilization - and academic performance (GPA) among Tanzanian students of higher learning Institution. A simple random sampling technique was used to obtain a sample of 452 respondents. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach as the primary data analysis method, this research empirically explores how these factors collectively impact academic outcomes. The Statistical results affirm that food security status significantly affects students’ academic performance.
