Course Details

The need for transforming conventional government offices into more efficient and transparent ones while eliminating huge amount of paperwork has long been felt. E-office was developed with the objective of improving government’s functions through provision of efficient, effective and transparent inter and intra government transactions and processes. It is a complete digital workplace solution for government offices as it possesses several applications for transforming day to day official work in an organization. It has been increasingly adopted by central and local government departments with the intention of achieving good governance with accountability, transparency and innovation. In order to have effective utilization of e-Office, the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) in collaboration with e-Government Agency (eGA) has prepared a training to shapern e-office skills to its users .

This training provides skills and hands-on practices on the use of e-office system so as to improve and automate paper work activities, ensure collaboration and messaging services that will helps users to communicate effectively and share information and ideas in real time. The training will cover approaches for dealing with large volumes of documents of various categories while maintaining a central repository where all users can access them

At the end of this training participants will be able to:

• Introduce the roles and use of e-Office management system in public institutions.

• Equip participants with skills to properly use e-Office management system in performing daily administrative file movement.

• Equip participants with technical knowledge and skills to manage e-Office management system.

• Familiarize participants with proper management of electronic file movement using e-Office management system.

This training will be beneficial to Directors, Managers, Human Resource Officers, Head of Departments, Records Officers, Records Managers, Archivists, Personal Secretaries (PS), ICT Officers, Knowledge Managers, Librarians, Information Officers, and other Interested Individuals.
