ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
This qualification is designed to produce competent personnel in accounting and auditing field to work at middle level positions in the accounting and auditing sector.
PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The holder of this qualification will be able to;
- Perform routine and non−routine accounting and auditing duties and excise some supervisory skills in accounting and auditing fields and prepare accounting information from complete and incomplete records.
- Independently work in accounting and auditing section, describe and apply management principles in business organisations and apply entrepreneurial techniques in planning, appraising and managing an enterprise.
- Apply appropriate corporate finance principles in making investment decisions and ability to apply commercial law and solve legal problems in different business contexts.

Direct Entry: A Form Four certificate with at least four passes (religious subjects not counted)
Equivalent qualification: Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4): Applicant into this programme should have NTA Level 4 in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Tax, Business Administration, Procurement, Marketing, Social Protection, Insurance and Risk Management OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principle Pass and one Subsidiary.
The programme is geared towards producing junior professionals with accounting skills and knowledge in a broad range of work activities, most of which are non−routine.
