Macha is a Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) graduate from the University of Dar es salaam and holds Masters of Science in Finance (Msc. Finance) from the University of Strathclyde, Glassgow, UK. He is a PhD holder from University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He is a professional banker with a professional diploma certificate in banking offered by Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB), certified trainer of microfinance offered by Asian Development Bank Institute, China Development Bank, Tokyo Development Learning Centre and The World bank – 2012. He is lecturer in banking and finance courses, researcher and consultant in Banking and microfinance (Gender & poverty research funded by DELPHE).
