Josephat Lotto is the RECTOR at the Institute of Finance Management, and a Professor of Finance. Josephat graduated with a PhD in Corporate Governance and Financial Strategies from the UK in 2012. He holds MSc in Finance with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde in the UK. Josephat did his MBA (Finance) at the University of Dar es Salaam between 2003 and 2005 and completed a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2002. Josephat is also a certified public accountant with CPA (T) offered by the National Board of Auditors and Accountants. Josephat also holds a Certificate of Proficiency in Oil, Gas, and Mining Governance from Columbia Center of Sustainable Investment in Collaboration with NRGI and WORLD BANK. He also did a High-Level Executive Course on oil, gas and mining offered by the University of Oxford, and attained an associate alumnus status of Oxford University with card number 8-11196495. Josephat sits in the Board of Directors of Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA), the authority which regulates the Oil and Gas Sector in Tanzania.
