He holds a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds a Master of Arts (Economics) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from University of Dar es Salaam. He has more than 20 years experience working as Senior Lecture and Research Fellow at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM). His researches and publications focus mainly on public sector economics and financial economics. As a way of influencing policy He is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board (MAB) to the Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA) for the 2nd tenure. He holds a Certificate in Directorship (CiDir) Course offered by Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IODT) which is crucial in governance of public as well private institutions. Furthermore, He has been able to attend Leadership and Governance of State Owned Institutions – Induction Programme offered by Uongozi Institute.
